Biography

Born in the north-east of Scotland, Ember began playing the violin at just seven years old, growing up in a musical family surrounded by church and classical music. After achieving Grade 8 at the remarkable age of 12, she progressed to professional training at the Royal Northern College of Music and later the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating in 2016.

During her formative years, Ember performed as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, touring across Europe and appearing at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall alongside the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and internationally renowned violinist Nicola Benedetti. She later returned to the Royal Albert Hall to perform with the RNCM Session Orchestra.

Her experience spans orchestral performance, musical theatre productions including West Side Story and Cabaret, competitive appearances at the Oban Invitational Masters Competition and the Robert Burns World Federation Competition, and extensive church and wedding performances throughout Scotland.

Ember’s repertoire is exceptionally broad — from Bach, Kreisler and Gluck to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, cinematic themes like Game of Thrones, Disney classics, ABBA favourites and high-energy pop hits. She is equally at home performing an elegant acoustic ceremony set or an electric violin showpiece for a lively evening celebration.

With glowing 5-star reviews praising her “beautiful sound” and supportive, professional approach, Ember is known for helping couples feel relaxed and confident throughout the planning process. She offers personalised song choices and consultations to ensure every performance feels meaningful and uniquely tailored.

When you book Ember through Wedding Violinist UK, you’re not just hiring a violinist — you’re securing an experienced, conservatoire-trained performer dedicated to making your wedding atmosphere truly unforgettable.
